FREE Interactive Children's Concert
We continue our annual tradition
of a free concert to introduce area children to the sounds
and instruments of a concert band -- perfect for 4- to 9-year
olds. The unique format of this concert, presented in the
gym of the Americal Civic Center in Wakefield, lets kids get
up close to the band and to touch and try the instruments
at the "petting zoo" following the performance.
This year's concert explores
the many ways that music moves us, eliciting strong feelings
and literally setting us in motion -- from the slightest head
bob to a jubilant dance.
